ADS SC21 refers to the Supply Chains for the 21st Century programme, a performance improvement initiative managed by ADS, the Aerospace, Defence and Security Group, which aims to increase the competitiveness of supply chains in the UK aerospace and defence sectors. The programme provides a framework for continuous improvement, offering participants a Baseline Assessment Tool (BAT) to identify areas for growth and opportunities to earn industry recognised Bronze, Silver or Gold Performance Standard Awards.
The International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) is a global organisation composed of major aerospace manufacturers and associations, dedicated to improving quality, safety, and efficiency across the aerospace supply chain. IAQG develops and maintains standards such as AS 9100, AS 9110, and AS 9120, which are widely adopted worldwide, and works to harmonise quality management systems across countries. By providing guidance, best practices and certification oversight. IAQG ensures that suppliers consistently meet the aerospace industry’s strict quality and safety requirements, supporting reliability and consistency throughout the sector.
AS/EN 9100 is the internationally recognised quality management standard for the aerospace industry, combining the US (AS 9100) and European (EN 9100) versions. Building on ISO 9001, it adds requirements to ensure the highest levels of safety, reliability, traceability and regulatory compliance. Certification to AS/EN 9100 demonstrates a company’s commitment to rigorous quality systems and continual improvement, making it essential for suppliers and manufacturers working with leading aerospace organisations worldwide.
