This Social Accountability Policy is part of SAM NI commitment to continual improvement through our Quality Management and Health and Safety Systems and Procedures.

SAM NI recognises the need for social accountability and is committed to the following: –

Health and Safety
SAM NI provides a safe and health working environment at both sites, taking adequate measures to prevent accidents and injury to health by minimising the causes of hazards in the working environment. SAM NI has appointed a Health and Safety Representative at each site to implement relevant legislative health and safety standards.

Discrimination
SAM NI prohibits discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, age, gender, disability or sexual orientation.

Forced or Child Labour
SAM NI ensures that neither forced nor child labour is used in the manufacture of products.

Freedom of Association
SAM NI accepts the rights of all employees to belong, or not to belong to a recognised Trade Union of the employee’s choice.

Working Hours
SAM NI will comply with the applicable laws and industry standards on working hours

Harassment or Abuse
SAM NI will provide a work environment free of harassment, abuse or corporal punishment in any form.

Policy Control
This policy shall be communicated to all employees via company notice boards
Changes to this policy shall be controlled through our Control Systems Co-ordinator.
